Mogadishu, (insidesomalia.org) -Yusuf Hagar “ Daba-geed’, Head of the Hiran regional Authority survived on Wednesday an attempt on his life after a road side bomb believed to be a land mine targeted exploded as his convoy went through Howlwadag neighbourhood in Beledwein.

Two civilians and a government soldier were injured in attack, said a witness speaking to insidesomali.org.

It is the second bomb attack he has survived after he was appointed as the chairman of The Hiran Regional Authority. The chairman who was on a tour to the police stations and prison centres in the region declined to comment on the attack.

The regional administrators had an emergency meeting on the security situation of the region especially Beledwein, the city of the Hiran region, comprising of four main districts: Beledwein, Bulo-burte, Jalalaqsi and Mataban.
